Seasons in Chinese Medicine

The Chinese calendar divides the year into five seasons, not four like in the West. The seasons are Winter, Spring , Summer, Late Summer and Autumn. Each one has specific properties associated with it, including organ system, color, special foods, common ailments, etc.
When we practice Qigong, we can achieve even better results by focusing on movements and exercises that are associated with the season.
